| Here is a poem by Radia Perlman, the author of the spanning tree protocol (STP). STP prevent loops on a Layer 2 switched network. Yeah, anyone can write a beautiful efficient algorithm thats used on the world's largest networks, but can you write a poem about it?

I think that I shall never see a graph more lovely than a tree. A tree whose crucial property is loop-free connectivity. A tree that must be sure to span so packet can reach every LAN. First, the root must be selected. By ID, it is elected. Least-cost paths from root are traced. In the tree, these paths are placed. A mesh is made by folks like me, then bridges find a spanning tree.

| Hello world, Life has been really busy the past few months. I think now is a good time to take the foot off the pedal for a couple of weeks. new happenings: + New job is going pretty good. I know I made the right decision this time. + Moved, that was pretty hectic. + Went to New York for Labor Day. Sounds silly, but I went there for this restaurant: http://elpote.com/ + Saw Interpol in concert. Turn on the Bright Lights is a really good album + Pass a Cisco certification test.
Anyway, I wanted to share this awesome documentary Trang told me about. Please Vote for Me. Just amazing, the school election parallels to the US politics. It touches on a lot of themes like, of course politics, human nature, China's one child policy. And it's pretty funny too. I would have voted for Cheng Cheng.
